Giving it your all.

Here's to two great artists giving their all:

1) photographer Jim Marshall for capturing an iconic moment.
2) Singer/musician Johhny Cash for giving us his all.

Happy Birthday Johhny!

Good Book....Voyeur

Sometimes you're a voyeur sometimes you're not. Who says which is which? That's the interesting thing about this simple, no text book. A journalism photo next to a photo that some may deem taboo. As you stare at the photos you may wonder "am I a voyeur or am I looking at a document of an interesting moment?" So...which is which? Is it both? Or are we over thinking the title and it's just a good collection of photos, a good book?

Go See...Kenneth Josephson

His photographs are one of the many reasons I was always fueled by this amazing medium.

"Throughout his career, from his days as a student at the Institute of Design through his years as a teacher at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Kenneth Josephson has explored the concepts of photographic truth and illusion.  Whether his works utilize a single negative, multiple exposures, collage, or a construction that is photographed, Josephson creates art that challenges our perspectives and invites us to consider different concepts of representation.   Josephson consistently frames these ideas with dynamic compositions and creates beautiful objects with seductive printing.  Yet, regardless of how exquisite his prints are or cerebral his ideas might be, Josephson consciously utilizes humor; for this is just art, and it is meant to be enjoyed." -Gitterman Gallery

Watch yer step.

I love NYC snow. It has it's own texture and color. Completely different from Chamoix or Snowbird.

But ya gotta be careful. One slip and...

Your friends will be visiting you in the hospital.

Movement and photography.

We're all guilty of trying to come up with the new great thing whether it's creative or monetary. And sometimes just a simple idea is all you need. Executed well as Denis Darzacq has here and simplicity rules.
